Cork Ladies Football team visit the school tomorrow with the “Brendan Martin Cup”. They staged a great comeback against Monaghan in the final to secure All-Ireland success.

We are honoured that Amy O’ Shea, their winning captain, is bringing the cup to the school. Pupils are encouraged to wear ‘Cork Colours’ to add to the occasion.

A voluntary contribution of €2 will go toward Motor Neurone Association.

A cake sale in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland/Seomraí Ranga (classrooms) is being held in the school hall on Friday next 10th June, from 10.00am to 12.00noon. Any parents who are willing to bake a cake/confectionary are invited to do so. Kindly hand in cakes to the school hall @8.45am – 9.00am on Friday .

Admission €5, includes tea/coffee, cake and raffle ticket.

Children will be allowed to buy cakes during the course of the morning.

Drámaíocht
A visiting drama troupe ‘Midsummer Nights Dream’ visits the school on Monday 23rd next with their school production – “Bluebird”.
It will be an opportunity for pupils to enjoy and interact in a dramatic production.

It should be an enjoyable educational experience for your child and class.

Dramaíocht: We are pleased to inform you that Graffiti Theatre Company will hold a drama/workshop insan halla scoil on Tuesday 17th next.
This is specifically for Rang 1 and Rang 11 involving three class groupings at different times.
Children will have an interactive role in the workshop and should prove to be worthwhile and creative. The drama is being subsidized by the Parents’ Council. Bainimís taitneamh as.

Rás Urraithe: A special word of thanks to all members of the school community who supported ‘Predict the Teachers Time’ re sponsored road race. It is one of our main fundraising enterprises and it raised €3,000. A fantastic response in the present economic climate. Míle buíochas do gach éinne.
