Rás Urraithe: Thanking all those parents and pupils who supported the sponsored ‘Predict the Teachers Time’ race card in Ballycotton 10 mile road race. Your efforts raised a very creditable €3,049 in aid of ‘Na Seomraí Nua’ and sending a Bóthar Goat to an impoverished African Family. Monies raised will help to payoff some of the outstanding building balance which stands in the region of €12,000 at present. Míle buíochas le Ailbhe Ní Loingsigh, múinteoir, who ran the ten miles. Dia leat.

‘Na Seomraí Nua’ will be officially opened by Uachtarán Cumann Lúth Chleas Gael on Thursday/Déardaoin 22ú Márta. This building project is the culmination of hard work for all concerned. It will enhance facilities and provide extra classroom accommodation for the present and future school community. Buíochas to all those who were involved, Boards of Managements, Parents Councils, school staff agus daoine fásta (adults).
Thanking everyone who helped financially, gave of their time and advice along the way. Special word of thanks (buíochas) to our Cathaoirleach of Bord Bainistíocht John Bresnihan who drove the project forward involving time consuming meetings with planners, builders, T.D.’s and department officials.
