Samhradh
`14: Tá an samhradh buailte linn cinnte.
The exceptional fine weather has enhanced outdoor activities as the
school year draws to a close.
An
Chéad Chomaoine class turned out in large numbers for the annual Corpus
Christi Procession on Sunday last, le cúnamh ó Phóilín agus Tracie.
All classes had their annual school tours in Cork
and Waterford
environs, different venues for different age groups made for happy exhausted
bodies by evening time. Our Rang VI
spent a very enjoyable three days in Fionntrá i nGaeltacht Corca Dhuibhne. A very comprehensive itinerary organized by
their múinteoir Caitríona Ní Riada made for its success.
Rang VI were presented with `An Fáinne` as their years in primary school drew to a close last
week. Sponsored by Conradh na Gaeilge.
An inter class `Féile Peile` football blitz, coordinated by múinteoir Alf was
thoroughly enjoyed by many eager young limbs.
The above is a small flavour of school life during the past
few weeks. During the 2013-14 school
year, musical and drama workshops ,
Sciath na Scol, Scór, guitar, swimming lessons, traditional singing and dancing
classes, all formed part of school life.
Our huge Christmas Concert was a tremendous success and a credit to all
concerned. Art competitions, quizzes
were also an integral part of school life.
Aoibhinn bheatha an scolaire. (Happy is the lot of the present day pupil!!)
Kindly budget for school sundries arts, crafts, personal
insurance, photocopying and cultural activities that amount to €70. This will be required in September to
maintain and retain present school activities.
Thanking all members of the school community that help make
our school a happy one – páistí, parents, runaí, airíoch, cuntóirí agus
múinteoirí. Ní neart go cur le chéile.
Bíodh samhradh sona sásta ag gach éinne.
Le dea-mhéin,
Séan
