Seachtain na Gaeilge is now
underway nationwide with an extra emphasis on our national culture, cluichí,
ceol agus teanga. This week lets all
make an extra effort to use our native tongue both at home and at school. All languages complement each other and can
be used at will, as desired.
‘Lá Glas Gaelach’ in
conjunction with the above, we are asking you to support a ‘Lá Glas Gaelach’ – ‘Lets
Green it Day’ non –uniform day on Friday next.
This is in aid of the very poor/underprivileged children that live in Silchar , India . A member of staff Caitríona Ní Riada, intends
to teach in a voluntary capacity in Silchar ,
India , during
July next. This undertaking is in a voluntary
capacity. Caitróna intends bringing
basic teaching materials to the poorest of the poor in that part of the world.
We would like to support her in her endeavours. All children are invited to make next Friday ‘Lá
Glas Gaelach’ – ‘Lets Green it Day’. €2. Kindly give what you can afford. (As many families have more than one child at
school you may wish to divide your contribution between them) Go raibh maith agat.
